LO2 Legal and Ethical

I will use assets that include images, text and the company (Hive-IT) logo. The photographs will be provided by Hive It.  Text should be written and created by myself or another individual who is willing for it to be under copyright of Hive-IT.

Copyright

The website should be properly cover by copyright so that there cannot be any infringement by other individuals. Also I have to be careful not to infringe anyone else copyright, I will avoid this by creating all materials and final products myself.

Regulatory bodies
The regulatory bodies that regulate the websites vary. The ASA (advertising Standerds Agency) is now regulating the marketing adverts on webpages. Ofcom are the regulatory body that regualte communications, so websites fall into their category, they monitor how websites can advertise and what they advertise.

SSL

SSl stands for the Secure Sockets Layer. This is the standard security technology which is used to establish an encrypted lnk between a websever and a browser. SSL is extremely important as it ensures the safety and privacy of all data passed between a web server and browser. It is important that the Hive-IT servers have this as there is a donation tab and card details may be used to send donations making the user vulnerable to wire fraud and bank fraud if there is no use of SSL.

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral.

LO2 Gantt Chart

LO2 Budget

Most large web design companies will have budget estimates of around £12,000. There isn't really a budget for the website as I will be doing it all myself.

A basic website cost can vary wildly depending on the business you hire to create the website, how manpower is needed to create the website and the size of web hosting and marketing you wish to have. No to mention domain name costs and maintenance costs.

-Domain Name £10 a year
-Hosting services £10 to £100 a year (depending on traffic and hosting services)
- Web Planning, Design and Development Time. 60 hours and up
-Continued website maintenance. £500 a year
-Marketing. £750 a month

LO2 Relevent Launch Date

The launch date of website should comply with events that talk about the survival of bees or the prevention of pesticides. The launch date should also comply with the clients requests.

LO2 Information Flow

The information on my webpage should flow well so to do this I will use different tabs on the webpage to link to more pages that have new information and images on.  I will also include hyperlinks to websites with relevant information. The audience will navigate using a verity of ways firstly they could navigate using the tabs and the links on the pages, they could also navigate via the search bar and footers.

LO2 Technical Learning 2 Codecademy

This is the start of the CSS unit. I am now onto the learning of CSS as I have just finished the HTML unit.

This image shows the tutorial section of the CSS course. This specific page is teaching padding.

LO2 Wire frames

These are the initial wire frame plans for the hive it website.

This is a wire frame for the website of Hive-It. I have chosen to use a navigation bar at the top so that the user can navigate the website I have also chosen to have a slider as it is a very good way to show multiple slides with information on. I have also chosen a social networking feed to go underneath the slider as I believe that a social networking feed is crucial to a modern day website. Next to this I have chosen a general information box as this will be useful to display any necessary news or information that would change over the lifetime of the webpage. The footer is a necessity as it will be needed to contain all of the contact us information and legal information.

This is the wire frame of the secondary page that the visitor get to once a they click on a link in the navigation bar. I have chosen to leave the navigation bar at the top of the page so that the visitor wont have to use their web browser to get to another section of the site or return back to the previous page. I have included two information and image boxes to present the relevant information or images that the page will have. I have also included a hyperlink box so that I can present the option of donating to the visitor on every page. The footer is as described previously a necessity and should be included on every page, this is so that the user can find contact or legal information.

This is the wireframe for the mobile or tablet website. I beleive that the visitor will find it easier to navigate the site on a mobile device if the website is organized into labeled drop down boxes rather than a navigation bar. I think this because it seems as though it may be hard and irritating to be constantly navigating by changing pages and follow navigation bar links where as if all the information is organized into labeled drop down boxes it would be easier as all the visitor would have to do is click on the relevant drop down box and if that isn't the correct one just scroll up to another one.
Here is my ideal final image of the site

This is how I wish my webpage to look as the finished product.
